What have I been up to since I last posted in February? Too much!
Mid-March, Baby Girl and I went to Girl Scout camp.

(Wow! What a blast from the past!) I was a Girl Scout in 4th and 5th grade and absolutely loved it. BG wouldn't go unless I went, so of course I couldn't resist. It was a cold, rainy weekend, but it didn't hold the girls back at all. They did a 4-hour horse program, cold rain notwithstanding, and we all (moms included) rode horses for about 2 hours in the arena. Not only was it BG's first time on a horse, it was mine as well. (I don't think I can count the pony rides at the zoo when I was six as actual horseback riding.) They assigned BG to the tallest horse I think I have ever seen:

and will you just look at what they put me on:

The world's shortest draft horse! Could I look any more ridiculous? Hubbo says I look like "Mongo" - what a prince I married, huh?

My girls were on spring break the week after GS Camp, so we went to the Smokies. We had a great time, but came home more tired than when we started. We hiked, shopped, went to Wonderworks, walked the strip in Gburg, and I knit and knit and knit. I made a set of discloths for the folks who own the cabin we stayed in.

While we were in Gburg, I also knit this felted bag for a friend's birthday. I worked the body on the Bond knitting machine. It was supposed to be just a rectangular bag that I was planning to put shoulder straps on. But, I used a different wool for the burgundy stripe at the top and the bottom and when it felted it ruffled at the top. It wasn't what I expected but it was a good surprise.
For the last couple of weeks, I've been working on the Hazy Paves scarf for myself in a charcoal Malabrigo lace weight. It is so soft and wonderful to work with.

I love the ruffle on the felted bag!
Too cute!! Can't wait to see the scarf!

Sounds like you had fun at GS camp. Horseback riding is always fun, scary but fun.

You have a Bond?? Me, too, but I've never used it! Maybe I'll put the DVD in and check it out..even though I don't have a table to clamp it to...

I've never watched the DVD that came with it. If I did, maybe I'd be a little braver and venture into more than squares and rectangles! It's great for those, though.

You don't have to clamp it down. Mine came with a strip of that non-slid stuff used under rugs and it holds the machine in place very well. Give it a try.

I didn't even look for the non skid stuff w/the Bond; I bet there's some in the box.
Thanks for the heads up, Leann!
