5 UFOs notwithstanding, I've cast on 2 new projects this week:
*Angel Baby - This is a baby afghan I started as a prayer afghan for my friend's brand new grandbaby. She was having some breathing problems and needed extra prayers, so I cast this on last weekend and am over half-way done tonight.
*Felted clogs - My knitting pal and I started our very first KAL on Thursday night. This will be the first pair of clogs either of us has tried. I have high hopes for these.
I've been adding some items to my Ravelry notebook and have been looking around the house for UFOs. Much to my chagrin, I have found several:
*Baby kimono - This is for no one in particular. I just wanted to try the pattern in stockinette rather than garter as per the pattern. It's about 3/4 done, but I lost interest a couple of months ago and haven't picked it up since.
*Lace scarf - Several months ago, I bought some Malabrigo Tortuga lace weight in a grey colorway in order to make myself a lightweight lace scarf. After several false starts, I finally settled on Trinity stitch and had about 6 inches done when I lost count and screwed it up royally. I have let that project slip into hibernation. I don't know when it'll wake up or what it will be when it does finally wake.
*Summer tank - I started this back in August and have it about 2/3 done. It's for me, but it looks like it will be a little small. Maybe I'll fit into it by the time I get around to finishing? (Maybe not!)
*Socks - Again, these will be for me. I feel a little selfish after typing all of these "me" projects out. Oh well, I don't keep many of my creations, so I guess I won't feel too bad. These are in a really pretty Wildfoote sock yarn - mostly reds with some purples, greens, and oranges. This is my first sock project (other than slipper socks), so I'm doing a simple 2x2 rib on US0 circulars. It's a slow go, but I'm enjoying the no-brainer time.
*Winter scarf - Once again, this one's for me. Argh! I started it last weekend while on a girls' weekend. I didn't have the right size needles with me (this is a double-strand scarf - 1 bulky, 1 worsted weight), so I'm going to frog this and start all over - I'm thinking a big cable right up the middle.
I know I'm forgetting something, but these are enough! 7 projects! And so many more I'm just itching to try.
But, like the Bible study my group is doing to get our eating habits under control, I must learn moderation! Too much of a good thing, even knitting, can get me into trouble. I have to get my fiber habits under control too. So, I'm taking a pledge right now - ahem, ahem - I'm serious now - I will NOT, except in a dire emergency, cast on another project, no matter how small, the intent, the gorgeousness of the yarn, the boredom with the existing projects, until I have finished every one of my current list of UFOs. Wish me luck -- I'm going to need it!

Ahem......ok, good luck but you won't mind if I don't follow along with you on this one do you?
Hey I did finish the baby items project, the commissioned one. I still need to take pics though. -Liana
Well, THAT didn't last! I've been home sick today and I've been in bed knitting what? Another project. I made the Utopia hat, but I am happy to say I finished it. You can get alot done when you're laying around feeling like crud.
